Synchronicity
Driving out of San Francisco at night, coming fast down the hill out the back of town, I'm listening to Joanna Newsom and she's singing "The meteorite is the source of light, and the meteor’s just what we see; and the meteoroid is a stone that’s devoid of the fire that propelled it to thee” when - and I swear this is true - a meteor, the brightest I've ever seen, comes streaking across the sky for almost a full quarter arc of the heavens before it fades to black.
